Technology is moving at exponential speed. We watch as advances in Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) become incorporated into existing and new software platforms.
Adobe software has used ‘artificial intelligence’ (+ human operator) in retouching and editing software for many years. The development of generative AI – text to image – has changed the digital art and design landscape significantly.
While some platforms make their position for human lead creativity clear, others continue to develop and incorporate Gen AI into their software suite. How these platforms train their Gen AI engines is currently a point of contention across a range of creative industries – written, visual and auditory. KRD Creative Studio does not condone plagiarism in any form, and does not incorporate plagiarised images or creative output into our work. We believe that the data sets used to train Gen AI models should be obtained openly, documented, and most importantly – with active and informed consent of original creators. Scraping the internet for source materials is not okay.
Whether Gen AI creative is used as an end product, or as a working step in creative development, it can be a useful addition to a digital toolkit. We are currently training and looking at the available Gen AI in the professional design software landscape. We are consciously developing a best practice model that we are morally, ethically and economically comfortable with.
As at October 2026 we have integrated appropriate Gen AI components into our workflow, including using Adobe Firefly to edit and create some image assets. Firefly is used as an adjunct where a photo shoot, existing image libraries or stock photography are not available. We also use Adobe Firefly to generate voice audio where live talent is not an option. We use Claude AI in various business processes to streamline the administrative processes and repetitive tasks that can be required of some projects. We use the integration of Claude AI with Fimga to help prototype and build web assets where the process suits the outcome requirements.
Where efficiencies and advances positively affect our productivity, we have adopted multi-software solutions to expand our capability. Our final words and visuals still come from our human brains.

As at August 2024, we are not seeking out Gen AI augmentation to our workflow beyond the Adobe Creative Suite Gen AI enhanced tool set. We use Microsoft 360 which provides some predictive text. Beyond this we have experimented with Chat GPT and Claude, but not for production of finished written content. Our words and our visuals come from the same place they always have, our human brains.
As at March 2026 we have experimented with Gen AI image generation on some specific graphic elements. We have found it’s unpredictable and un-repeatable nature counter to promised efficiencies and mostly use traditional stock photography and stock illustration compositions, with Photoshop editing. The Gen AI tools we use are assessed on a specific task basis, and not a whole of workflow solution. Where efficiencies and advances positively affect our productivity, we have adopted multi-software solutions expanding capability beyond Adobe Creative Suite. Studio AI Usage Overview
Which AI tools do you use and why?
We use the AI tools that are embedded in Adobe Creative Suite to streamline our production process. Most commonly we incorporate the more advanced features of Photoshop to enable faster re-touching of existing imagery. This generally most commonly involves removing unwanted objects or extending existing background areas to fit required sizing.
We have access to image Generative AI (Gen AI) via Adobe. This is used rarely, when an appropriate stock image cannot be found or edited easily. We have used various Gen AI applications for image output specifically requested by clients.
When required, we use 11Labs AI voices for rough editing and compositing.
We use LLM’s (Chat GPT and Claude) on an ad hoc basis to assist with drafting written text or developing a framework for longer written pieces. The content generated is always read and edited before final use. We sometimes use LLM applications to proofread human written text to check spelling, grammar and consistency. Also to suggest summary statements of longer human written pieces when enhancing SEO.
When choosing to use Gen AI we always consider the most efficient method for the desired result. Often, due to the unpredictable (and un-repeatable) nature of Gen AI, it is often more efficient to use existing stock or brand imagery and edit with Photoshop.
We keep abreast of developments and adopt enhancements to existing and new software when they improve our workflow efficiency. Any automation needs to demonstrate efficiency gains and be suitable and practical for our specific studio practices and client needs.
How do you protect confidential information?
Any AI processes that are used are performed locally on our machines, on our VPN. Your imagery and data is not uploaded into online generative AI systems without discussion and permission. The Gen AI system we use is primarily Adobe Firefly which is a part of the professional Adobe Creative Suite software ecosystem, for which KRD has professional licensing subscriptions.
We have strict contractual arrangements with a number of our clients which expressively forbid use of any of their IP without written permission.
What human oversight ensures quality and accuracy?
Every asset we produce is checked – images are carefully considered and text is read by a human. KRD Creative Studio has built a reputation on attention to detail and immersive knowledge of our client’s businesses. This means that we can spot things that don’t align with a client’s image, values and tone.
How do you prevent bias in AI-generated content?
The Gen AI machines are not responsible for generating content for our clients. We use Gen AI applications for specific finite enhancement or compositing aides. The Gen AI products provide faster project planning iterations, and very specific image editing help.
Data policies
All our client data is on our own physical servers, protected by a firewall and can only be accessed via a VPN.
